Surroundings
The big lakes like the Faakersee, the Wörthersee and the Ossiachersee all lie in this region. But you will also be surprised by the many smaller natural lakes, like the Silbersee.
Golf fans are well served: in this region you will find Austrian, Slovenian and Italian golf courses.
Arnoldstein, rich in facilities and fun activities
The municipality of Arnoldstein has many facilities like shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets and tennis courts. The municipality lies in the Gail valley, through which the pristine and adventurous Gail river flows. Like in the rest of the Gail valley, in Arnoldstein the roads and hiking trails are flat, everywhere surrounded by woods and fields.
The surroundings are perfect for cycling and walking, for example high in the mountains to the different countries, or in the flat valley to one of the lakes.

Shopping and culture in the cities
Villach and Klagenfurt have many facilities, like shops and shopping centres, bars, restaurants, supermarkets and all kinds of activities. Many events are organized throughout the year, like the annual Christmas market, the Villacher Kirchtag and much more.
In Villach is the Villacher Warmbad, a pleasantly heated subtropical swimming pool with every imaginable spa and sauna.
Villach is a 15 minute drive and Klagenfurt, the capital of Carinthia, is 30 minutes driving.

The authentic Austrian village of Kirchbach lies centrally in the Gail valley, which means you are close to many facilities and activities. The village is located between two mountain ranges with many hiking opportunities. Kirchbach has many shops, facilities and meadows, where the pristine and adventurous Gail river flows.

The village consists of two parts: Kötschach and the authentic Mauthen, together about 3000 inhabitants. Because of it’s compactness, diverse facilities and flat ground the village is ideally suited for children and people with reduced mobility.

The KWO-villas are situated in a quiet field and are still very close to the many facilities that the village has to offer. Resort Centrum consists of 22 KWO-villas: 20 semi-detached and two detached villas.
